1960.  We moved to New Braunfels in 1960, where I graduated from Canyon High School in 1968.  My Mother's family was a part of the original German settlers, who settled New Braunfels.  While my Dad's family sold land to the German settlers in 1846, on the East side of the Comal River (Comal Town area where Schlitterbahn is and what is now Liberty Street).

Clyde and Ellan.  After my tour in the U.S. Navy, Brown Water, Mobile Riverine Patrol Boat Navy,  I went to college for 3 years, until I met Ellan.  Ellan was born in New Braunfels in 1951 and moved to Marion with her family to a farm around 1958.  She graduated from Marion High School in 1969, and went to work for Ben Bock, Bock Motor Company in New Braunfels.  She would eventually work for her father, who had created a business called Busy Bee Remodeling.  She was the love of my life.  I knew it at first sight.  she agreed to go back to the farm with me.  We endured many lessons in life before we established a sound method for farming which we use today.  We still constantly improve on it each year with the diligent and intelligent insight of our son, Joshua, who now manages the farm and business.

Sustainability and Organic.  Raised in the farming region, South of town around Clear Springs, I had many old German farmers and ranchers for mentors.  Their work ethic, coupled with my Grand-fathers, prepared me for the work needed to endure the years of hard work to recover the spent farm land Ellan and I bought in 1977.  The land was farmed for generations, without much thought given to its sustainability.  It's fertility and structure was all but gone.

30 years later.  After more than 30 years of good organic, sustainable practices, we now are able to provide excellent quality, taste, and safe produce to our many clientele who have become a part of our vegetable community, through their continued participation in our CSA (Community Supporting Agriculture) Programs.

Delivery Locations.  We currently deliver to a house on Hillcrest Drive in New Braunfels on Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm.
