We are planning to make the first delivery around the first week in January.  Crops that we intend to harvest in January are Broccoli, Kale(Red Russian, Tuscan and Rainbow), Lettuce(Green leaf and Red Butterhead), Green Shallots, Spinach, Pac Choi, Wieding Spinach, Green Garlic, Salad Turnips, Swiss Chard and Radishes.

The crops we expect to harvest in February are Lettuce(Romaine and Red Leaf), Green Garlic, Swiss Chard, Pac Choi, Spinach, Green Shallots, Broccoli, Wieding Spinach, Carrots, Kales(Red Russian, Tuscan and Rainbow) and Radishes.  We are also growing a crop of strawberries with an expected harvest at the end of February or the beginnin go March.  The strawberry crop has failed for 2012.

 

In March the weather will start to warm up.  We will say goodbye to our cold loving vegetables and welcome in some new ones.  March harvests may include Pac Choi, Radishes, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Carrots, Lettuce(Green Leaf and Red Butterhead), Beets, Kale, Green Shallots and Cauliflower.  We are also going to try a crop of super early cherry tomatoes.  This should be a nice sweet suprise for early Spring!

April is usually a beautiful warm Spring month.  Any vegetable that dislikes the warmth will no longer be with us.  We will enjoy our first harvests of Cauliflower, Fennel and Celery!  Other crops may include Swiss Chard, Carrots, Lettuce, Beets, Radishes and Pac Choi.

May is the beginning of our Summer months on the farm.  The crops will change to heat loving vegetables.  The harvests in May could include Yellow Squash, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Sweet Onions, Zucchini, Swiss Chard, Sweet Basil, Carrots and Sweet Peppers.

 

In June we will contine to harvest those crops that love Summer weather.  They may include Sweet Peppers, Cucumbers, Sweet Onions, Tomatoes, Sweet Basil, Yellow Squash, Garlic, Zucchini and Eggplant. 

  

The Summer heat is here to stay once July comes around.  Harvests in July may include Poblano Peppers, Cantaloupes, Zucchini, Eggplant, Yellow Squash, Sweet Basil, Sweet Peppers, Sweet Onions, Jalapenos, Honeydew, Yardlong Beans and Cherry Tomatoes.

  

August is our hot and dry month.  Vegetables have to be hardy to survive in Texas during August.  Harvests may include Poblano Peppers, Cantaloupes, Sweet Basil, Dried Shallots, Jalapenos, Okra, Tatume Squash, Butternut Squash, Honeydew, Sweet Peppers and Yardlong Beans.
